Wind power components traffic can reach 600,000m³ a year
The Bilbao Port Authority has granted Gamesa Eólica, S.L. a public domain concession for one year to occupy a plot of land on Dock A-3 in the Port of Bilbao Extension destined to the installation of a logistics centre for the loading, discharge and stocking of large goods such as auxiliary structures and main components for the wind power industry.
Annual traffic of wind power components is estimated to be between 500,000 and 600,000 cubic metres, which is equivalent to the berthing 45 new vessels.

By setting up in the Port of Bilbao, the company will take advantage of what being on the first line of a dock supposes, which will enable them to improve logistics and
increase market.
In addition, the Port of Bilbao is an expert in special transport, which is a consequence of the important internationalization of the industrial environment established in its hinterland.
