Port of Bilbao traffic up 7.7% to March

The Port of Bilbao facilities handled 7.26 million tonnes between January and March, which is 7.7% more than in the corresponding period last year. This growth is due to the increase in liquid bulks, especially crude oil and refined products.

With regard to markets, the European Atlantic, the main origin and destination of goods entering or leaving the Port, grew by 18%. The second market is still the American Atlantic North (up 6.5%), followed by the African Atlantic (up 14%).
