With the arrival of the M/V Constantine, shipping line CNAN Nord, represented by Transcoma Shipping, has commenced a regular monthly service between the Port of Bilbao and Algeria, calling at Leixoes, Algiers and Oran as well as other ports according to demand. It is the first direct line between the north of the Iberian Peninsula accepting container, conventional and heavy load cargo.
CNAN has 6 new generation multi-purpose vessels with a combined lifting capacity of 500 tonnes.
Last year, nearly 400,000 tonnes were shipped between Bilbao and Algeria- 12% up on the previous year.
