Ports Fund 4.0. Is being created to promote innovation in the port logistics community, facilitating the development of innovative projects as well as the creation of start-ups and businesses in the sector.
- Its objective is to promote disruptive innovation as an element of public and private port logistics competitiveness, to facilitate sector transition to the 4.0 economy.
- The fund is endowed through the contributions of the Port Authorities of the System by means of a contribution equivalent to 1% of their cash flow during the coming years, although the fund will be managed by Puertos del Estado.

- There are three aid modalities: Ideas for TRL 1 and 2 with an aid amount of 15.000€ to reach a TRL 3, Pre-commercial projects from TRL 3 to 6 to reach a TRL 7 with an aid intensity of up to 60% with a maximum of 1M€ and Commercial projects from TRL 7 to 9 with an aid intensity of up to 80% and a maximum of 2M€.
- Companies in the port logistics sector that identify projects with an innovative component in one of their traditional lines of business may submit proposals for this grant.
