Port accessThe “Containerships Stellar”, the sixth and latest addition to Containerships’ fleet of LNG-powered vessels, is the second such container ship to dock at the port of Bilbao this month. Launched on 7 June, the vessel is 170 metres long, 27 metres wide, has a draught of 9.6 metres and a capacity of 1,380 containers.
This vessel further enhances the portfolio of sustainable services provided by the company of the CMA CGM group, and consolidates its leadership in this field at a moment in time when there is a shortage of vessels in the European market. The arrival of this second vessel, following that of the “Containerships Borealis” which berthed on 7 June at the container terminal managed by CSP Iberian Bilbao Terminal, highlights the clear commitment of Containerships and the CMA CGM group to this port, and consolidates the energy transition plan being taken forward by the port of Bilbao.
