UniportBilbao and the Port Authority of Bilbao have taken part in ENOC, the Spanish National Meeting of Cereal Operators, in Zaragoza, organised by the Spanish Grain and Oilseed Trade Association (ACCOE), to promote the services and facilities of the Port of Bilbao. Also at the event were various companies from the port community, including Erhardt Logistics, SGS Española de Control, Servicios Logísticos Portuarios (SLP) and Consignaciones Toro y Betolaza.
In 2023, just over 1.4 million tonnes of bulk agricultural, livestock and food products were shipped through the port of Bilbao, with an increase of 24% in a year marked by a lower domestic harvest.
Bilbao offers specialised terminals and facilities and all kinds of services related to foreign trade, such as customs clearance, chartering, cargo certification and sanitary and phytosanitary controls. The port also has excellent maritime connectivity to around 850 ports worldwide, and is easily accessible by both road and rail.
ENOC brings together around 500 professionals from the cereals sector to analyse market trends, and promotes commercial and business relations between brokers, operators, companies and professionals working in the international trade of cereals, oilseeds, grains and their derivatives.
