Ricardo Barkala, President of the Port Authority of Bilbao, will take part in a round table on the strategic role played by ports in business internationalisation
On 28 and 29 February, the Port Authority of Bilbao will be taking part in IMEX, the main international business and foreign trade fair in Spain, to be held at the Cibeles Palace in Madrid. At the fair, the Port Authority will be providing importers and exporters with information on the services it provides to contribute to business internationalisation.
Specifically, the Port of Bilbao will have a stand (L-41) in the exhibition area of the fair, from which it will provide exporting companies in Madrid with information on the multimodal transport services the port provides for access to international markets.
In addition, on Wednesday, 28 February, at 10.30 am, Ricardo Barkala, President of the Port Authority, will take part in the round table discussion “The role of ports in business internationalisation”, which will focus on the fundamental role played by ports in international business. Mr. Barkala will
explain the Port of Bilbao’s vision of the future of maritime transport, in a changing environment in which reducing the carbon footprint is a factor in the competitiveness of logistics chains.
Organised by the magazine Moneda Única, IMEX will be hosting over 50 conferences and round table discussions, with a view to improving the competitiveness of SMEs and driving the internationalisation of companies.
