Since the end of April, MacAndrews has operated a new weekly rail service for shippers that links Castellón, on the Mediterranean coast, with the Port of Bilbao. So on Tuesdays, an average of 35 containers loaded with tiles from the ceramics factories in the province leave the Port of Castellón by rail for the Port of Bilbao where they will be exported to the United Kingdom.
Bilbao is the main port in Spain for traffic flowing to or from the United Kingdom. Shippers are offered at least one daily departure to the British Isles. Services include container, general and wheeled traffic, as well as a ferry service.
