Marítima Candina is responsible for coordinating the operational logistics of the first offshore wind generator in Spain: it was manufactured by Gamesa and its components were embarked in the Port of Bilbao for shipment to the Port of Arinaga in the Canary Islands.
The 5 MW power wind turbine parts consists of three blades and the nacelle. The 62.5-metre long blades, each weighing 15 tonnes, are the longest ever produced and transported in Spain, and among the largest in Europe. The nacelle is over 12.5 metres long, 4 metres both high and wide and weighs 72 tonnes.
