The Port Authority of Bilbao, together with Uniport and other associated companies, will attend Intermodal South America de Sao Paulo, the most important event in South America for the logistics, transport and foreign trade sectors.
At the fair, which will be held from 13 to 15 March, the Port Community will inform of the competitive advantages Bilbao provides and will offer personalised logistics solutions for any cargo that the shippers from that area wish to export from, or import to the European Atlantic.
Traffic between Bilbao and Brazil amounts to 1.9 million tonnes, which supposes 11% of the traffic between Spain and Brazil. After Peru, it is the country which has experienced most traffic growth with the Port of Bilbao -76% to be exact- which supposes over 808,000 tonnes. Outstanding exports were
sulphates, alum, naphtha, organic compounds, sulphuric acid and iron, while main imports included crude oil, soy beans, fuel and sheet iron.
