The Port Authority of Bilbao will take part in the third Open House Bilbao Architecture Festival with its headquarters, Olabarri Palace, on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September.
Without previous registration, the public can enjoy a free guided visit to this late-nineteenth century emblematic building, which was designed by the architect Julián de Zubizarreta in 1894 as the residence of José María de Olabarri, an important businessman of the time.
Open House is a festival that enables free admittance to spaces normally closed to the public for one weekend each year. Thus people visiting them can re-discover the planning and architecture of the town. In all, 81 emblematic buildings will be opened to the public, of which 53 will be in Bilbao, 15 in Barakaldo and the remaining 13 in Getxo. Visiting times will be from 10.00 -20.00 hours on the Saturday and 10.00 to 19.00 hours on Sunday.
