Port Authority backs Industry Day to be held on 22 November

The Port Authority of Bilbao is one of the sponsors of the first Industry Day, which will be held on Thursday 22 November: the purpose of the day is to make known the importance of industry as the engine of the economy in both Biscay and the Basque Country.

The event is organised by the Biscay Federation of Metal Companies (FVEM), in conjunction with the Territorial Council of Biscay and the Autonomous Basque Government and it aims to draw attention to the industrial sector and make it more attractive for the development of future professional careers.

The result of the initiative is that over 600 pupils from first year higher secondary education studies at 23 state, private and semi-private schools will visit 28 associated companies simultaneously.

After the visits, the day will close with the main event to be held in the Great Hall of the University of the Basque Country where the main objectives of the day will be reinforced. This can be followed live at the website, diadelaindustria.eus vía streaming.
