With a view to creating a corporative culture endowed with a series of ethical values of corporate behaviour, the Port Authority of Bilbao has approved a code of corporate conduct to guide the behaviour of its professionals, which comprises acceptable conduct to be shared and respected by all staff.
The main ethical values the Code is committed to are honesty, integrity, commitment to people, collaboration, efficiency, transparency, customer orientation, sustainability and commitment to quality and innovation.
In addition to these values, unacceptable behaviour such as bullying, aggression and violence, sexual harassment and discrimination are also stipulated.
In parallel, it is proposed to foster an inclusive organisation which values diversity as something positive, as well as integrity, cooperation, efficiency and healthy practices among its staff through its different programmes aimed at its workforce.
This code of conduct should serve as a guide to directing relations among people working in the Port Authority and of the latter with their customers, suppliers, users, public administrations, collaborators and with the port community in general.
