Port Authority of Bilbao launches Booking and embarkation instructions service for forwarding agents on its e-puertobilbao platform.

The Port Authority of Bilbao has launched its Booking and embarkation instructions service for forwarding agents on its e-puertobilbao telematics platform. Sparber has been the first company to use the service – they also collaborated with the functional analysis- to book space for six 40-foot containers.

With this service, forwarders can carry out their bookings with over 60 shipping lines, among which figure the most important in the world, by using e-puertobilbao’s integrated service with INTTRA. Besides booking, forwarders can also provide maritime operators with transport instructions and they will have access to the maritime tracking of their containers.

The objective is to place at the disposal of forwarding agents a further means of connection that makes the use of the Port of Bilbao’s maritime services easier.

The e-puertobilbao platform has also developed other services for forwarding agents, such as Delivery/Admittance and Weight Verification.
