From 1 to 3 April, the Port of Bilbao will take part in the LOGIS Expo, to be held at the Zaragoza Exhibition Centre and which brings together different events connected with the transport, Intermodality, logistics and storage segment.
From its stand (Hall 6ED, Nº 17/18), the Port will provide information about its present dry ports and logistics network, comprising the dry ports at Azuqueca de Henares (Guadalajara) and Coslada (Madrid), the promoters Villafría – Dry Port (Burgos), Jundiz (Alava) via the Servicios Intermodales Bilbaoport company, Pancorbo (Burgos), PLAZA (Zaragoza) and Nonduermas (Murcia).
In 2013, 1.3 million tonnes entered or departed from the Port’s facilities by train. 13.5% of general cargo uses this means of transport, which rises to 17% of container traffic.
At the present time, shippers have weekly rail services available from the Port of Bilbao to Vitoria, Burgos, Madrid, Guadalajara, Seville, Zaragoza, Navarra, Barcelona, Castellón, Valencia and Murcia.
