The Port Authority of Bilbao will again be present at Multimodal, the UK and Ireland’s greatest logistics event to be held in Birmingham from 4-6 April. Besides an exhibition area, this year Multimodal will also offer, among others, sessions centred on Brexit.
With 4 million tonnes throughput, the United Kingdom is the Port of Bilbao’s main country of origin and destination. Half of this traffic is transported by container, and among the great variety of imports and exports, consignments of wine, spirits and beverages stand out in addition to building materials, chemical products, tinned foods, foodstuffs, fruit and vegetables and auto components.
Under the Basque Country Logistics brand, at Hall 4, Stand 3060, the Port Authority will provide information about its maritime services with the UK, as well as about the new surfaces available mid-term in the Port of Bilbao, such as the
Central Pier and the new Dry Ports which are being developed at Pancorbo and Arasur.
From the Port of Bilbao, the following offer direct services with the United Kingdom: Brittany Ferries, DSL-DFDS Suardiaz Line, MacAndrews, OPDR, Samskip, and Tata Steel.
