At 19.00 hours next Thursday, 19 April, the third in the cycle of talks organised by the Civil Engineer’s Association of the Basque Country, “Lessons of Bilbao”, will be held at the Getxo Maritime Cruise Station.
This time, under the title “The port that looks to the sea”, the former Mayor of Bilbao, Ibon Areso, the Chairman of the Port Authority of Bilbao, Asier Atutxa, the present and former Managing Directors, Carlos Alzaga and Txema Pico respectively, will discuss the Port’s strategic role in the transformation of Bilbao.
The event will also feature another former Managing Director of the Port Authority and ex-Chairman of the Spanish Civil Engineer’s Association, Jesus Villanueva, who will act as moderator.
The talk will be introduced by Jose Tesán, Chairman of the Civil Engineer’s Association of the Basque Country.
At 18.00 hours, before the event commences, a guided tour of the Maritime Station will take place. The organisation will provide buses for those attending, which will leave Bilbao from the Plaza del Museo at 17.30 hours. Registration is obligatory.
