Today the Port Authority of Bilbao received a delegation of professionals from the Port Training Institute of Morocco. The visit forms part of the “Bergé y Compañía International Talent Programme” promoted by Bergé through its Ports Operations Business Unit. The Institute is part of the National Ports Agency (ANP), the regulating authority and organism of the Moroccan port system, which Bergé signed a collaboration agreement with last March in order to encourage training and specialisation in the port management and logistics area.
The delegation was received by the Port Authority’s Operational, Commercial and Logistics Director, Luis Gabiola, and Bergé’s International Business Development Director, Gorka Ormaza. During the day, the visitors had the opportunity to get acquainted with the e-puertobilbao electronic platform; the commercial services; and the port operations and International Ship and Port Security. In addition, Jaber Bringas, Chairman of Uniport/Port Community, provided information about the activities of this cluster association.
To conclude, the Moroccan delegation visited the Port of Bilbao and also gained first-hand knowledge of Bergé’s solid bulks terminal.
