Dry bulk registers a growth of around 16% compared to last year
According to traffic figures up to and including November, activity in the port of Bilbao is picking up again. In these eleven months of the year, dry bulk has been up by almost 16% compared to the same period last year, with a 25% increase in bulk solids, a 19% increase in conventional cargo and a 7% increase in container cargo. Bulk liquids, on the other hand, show a cumulative decrease of 6%, as recovery in this area began in the last quarter of the year and this is still reflected in the overall statistics, although the trend is clearly positive and will continue through December.
In total, traffic up to November grew by 2.36% compared to the same period in 2020 and reached 28.6 million tonnes, up 647,229 tonnes compared to last year.
