Port accessThe Port of Bilbao Authority will again be present at Multimodal, the United Kingdom and Ireland’s premier logistics event, to be held in Birmingham from 1–3 May.
The United Kingdom is the main country of origin and destination for the Port of Bilbao with 4.6 million tonnes being handled. In specific terms, Bilbao concentrates 35% of the trade between Spain and the United Kingdom, and is thus the leading Spanish port trading with this country.
Outstanding among the great variety of imports and exports are cement and clinker, wines, spirits and beverages, scrap iron, chemical products, building materials, foodstuffs, vehicles and spare parts, canned food, fruit and vegetables.
The Port Authority will be at Stand 3065 (Hall 4)under the Basque Country Logistics brand, where its representatives will provide information about maritime services with the UK, as well
as about the new mid-term land surfaces available in the Port of Bilbao, like the Central Pier and the new dry ports being developed at Pancorbo and Arasur.
