Port accessThe Asociación de Cargadores de España (ACE), or Spanish Shippers Association, previously known as Aeutransmer, has held an online seminar entitled “Digitalisation is Mobility”.
The Port Authority of Bilbao collaborates with the ACE in a working group for the digitalisation of land transport operations, and has taken part in the seminar to raise awareness of the already existing degree of digitalisation in Bilbao port logistics. More specifically, the Port Authority presented the e-puertobilbao platform as a success story in this field, and explained its management model, how it has developed over time, the services it provides, those that are currently being developed and how all such services are agreed to by consensus with all stakeholders to improve, above all, access to and the safety of its facilities.
During the seminar, the details of the European Regulation on Electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI), which defines the future legal framework and considers the best way to address the digital transformation of the sector, were also discussed. The event was part of the “es.movilidad” participatory process of open dialogue set up by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda.
