On 28 and 29 February, the Port Authority of Bilbao and UniportBilbao will once again be at the Empack and Logistics & Automation in Bilbao trade fair at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, to showcase to the 2,300+ professionals from the packaging, logistics and transport sectors of northern Spain what the port of Bilbao has to offer in terms of logistics services.
During the event, those responsible for packaging, logistics, transport, quality, sustainability and purchases from different companies will have the opportunity to learn about the storage, transport and logistics services provided by the port community of Bilbao for efficient and sustainable logistics, as well as the latest trends in packaging, packing, intralogistics, automation, storage, logistics, robotics, transport and last mile.
In parallel to the exhibition area, which will include 80+ exhibitors, Empack and Logistics & Automation Bilbao will feature a full programme of conferences, demonstration areas and networking activities to learn about new proposals, developments and trends in the sector with which to optimise, digitise and make your company’s value chain more sustainable, as well as to establish contacts with suppliers and customers.
The activities programmed in the Transport & Delivery Hall, a meeting point for shippers looking for transport services for their goods, include a session entitled Application of analytics and IP video in port and industrial facilities. This event will
be held on Wednesday, 28 February, from 13.00 to 14.30, and will be led by Fabien Leger, Head of the IP Video & Analytics department at Canon Spain; Alfonso Allende, Sales Manager at Axis Communication; and Inmaculada Ugarteche, Director of UniportBilbao.
The event will include a practical demonstration of how some IP vision analytics technology solutions can help logistics and industrial companies in areas as diverse and critical as security, logistics operations and occupational risk prevention, while at the same time boosting reliability, automating processes and improving the protection of people and assets.
