The Port of Bilbao has launched a new ro-ro service with China and India. The vessel Super Fast Levante, chartered and stowed by Consignaciones Toro y Betolaza, has officially inaugurated the service, which in this first call has unloaded twelve blades from India and will take on board another twelve 81.5 m. new generation blades manufactured by Nordex Acciona. The vessel will depart today for Rostock, where Nordex Acciona has a nacelle-assembly plant, and from there it will begin its journey to Asia. The entire voyage will take two and a half months, with ports of call at Tuticorin in India and Lianyungang in China.
The Super Fast Levante is 158 m. long and has a capacity for 1,900 linear metres of cargo. On the occasion of the vessel’s first call in Bilbao, the captain was presented with a commemorative metope by Andima Ormaetxe, Director of Operations, Commerce and Logistics of the Port Authority of Bilbao, in the presence of representatives of Consignaciones Toro y Betolaza.
