The Port Authority will participate in the job fairs of the Bilbao School of Engineering and the University of Deusto
As part of its commitment to helping young professionals enter the job market, to attracting young talent, and to raising awareness of the employment situation of the logistics and port sector in the Port of Bilbao, the Port Authority will soon be taking part in two of the most important job fairs in Bizkaia.
On Tuesday, 18 February, the Port Authority will be at the Employment and Company Presentation Day 2025, organised by the Bilbao School of Engineering and to be held at the San Mamés football stadium. From 09.30 to 14.30, port representatives will be at the stand to assist all those interested in finding out about the wide range of job opportunities offered by the Port of Bilbao.
A week later, on Wednesday, 26 February, the Port will have a stand at the Employment and Entrepreneurship Forum, organised by the University of Deusto. From 10.30 through to 14.30, the Port will be showcasing the wide range of job opportunties in the logistics-port sector, and Itziar Sancho, Head of Development and Sustainability at the Port Authority of Bilbao, will be giving a talk entitled ‘The Port of Bilbao: Open door to your professional development’, at 12.00 in the Mensajero Room.
The Port Authority is constantly working to raise awareness of the opportunities offered by the logistics-port sector and the Port of Bilbao itself for the present and future professional development of young talent.
To this end, different actions are regularly taken, such as the Internship Programme for young people under 30 years of age to enter the world of work in the Port Authority, the initiatives developed with Mondragon Unibertsitatea and Industria Erronka, promoted by the FVEM – Federación Vizcaína de Empresas del Metal, as well as those described above with the University of Deusto and the Bilbao School of Engineering of the University of the Basque Country.
