The Bilbao Port Authority, Uniport and companies from the port community will take part in the XXII National Meeting of Grain Traders – ENOC, organised by ACCOE (Spanish Cereal and Oilseed Trade Association), on 27 March in Zaragoza.
The event promotes trade and business relations between brokers, traders, companies and professionals involved in the international trade of cereals, oilseeds, grains and their derivatives. The programme includes conferences and networking.
The Port of Bilbao is specialised in the agri-foodstuffs sector, with around three million tonnes of this type of goods handled through its facilities. Soya beans account for 34% of this traffic, followed by oils and fats, wines and beverages, cereals and their flours, and animal feed and fodder.
A significant number of companies within the port community provide a wide range of products and services linked to the logistics of the agri-food business, biofuels and other agricultural products, including agency, chartering, port handling, storage, road transport, customs clearance and quality certifiers. Companies providing services for this type of traffic include the stevedoring companies Bergé Marítima, Consignaciones Toro y Betolaza and Servicios Logísticos Portuarios (SLP); the industrial companies Acideka, Bunge, Depósitos Portuarios and Tepsa; and the company SGS, which offers certification analysis services.
