The Port of Bilbao cruise ship terminal in Getxo has today welcomed three cruise ships, two from the Carnival Corporation and one from MSC Cruises. Between them, the 3 cruise ships are carrying around 5,000 passengers, mostly British and North American, as well as more than 3,000 crew members.
The three cruise ships are: the Enchanted Princess, of Princess Cruises (Carnival Corporation), 330 m long: the Seabourn Ovation, of Seabourn Cruises (Carnival Corporation), 221 m long and represented, together with the Enchanted Princess, by Transcoma; and the MSC Virtuosa, 332 m long, one of the two largest cruise ships of the MSC Cruises fleet and represented by MSC, which returns to Getxo after its first call on 27 April and which is scheduled to call here again on 28 June and 19 October.
The vessels have arrived in the Basque Country between 07:00 and 08:00 this morning, each of them coming from a different port, namely La Rochelle, Bordeaux and Gijón. They will depart between 16:00 and 18:00 for Hendaye, in one case, and A Coruña, in the other two cases.
This year, the Basque Country is expected to welcome around 80 cruise ships to the port of Bilbao, of which 32 have arrived to date.
