From 5 to 7 October, the Bilbao Exhibition Centre will host the World Maritime Week 2021, with specific conference and networking programmes and shared areas and activities such as the exhibition area and the opening plenary session, where top-level representatives will discuss the sector’s key issues in their different fields of work. Alongside the sections dedicated to the shipbuilding industry (Sinaval), fishing (Eurofishing), wave and tidal energy (Ocean Energy Conference), and oil and gas (Oil & Gas Conference), the Futureport Congress will be held over two days, 6 and 7 October, with an interesting programme of international conferences, B2B meetings, networking and an exhibition area.
Futureport is sponsored by the Port Authority of Bilbao, Uniport, Idom, Prosertek, Fernando Cayuela, Tratos Group and the Basque Government. The challenges currently facing the port will be showcased at a stand, and Andima Ormaetxe, the Operations, Commercial and Logistics Director of the Port Authority of Bilbao, will take part on Wednesday, from 09.00 to 09.35, in the opening ceremony dedicated to the Green Deal. The following day, he will also give a conference entitled “Port Community Systems” at 09.25. At 11.00, the coordinator of Bilbao PortLab, Nagore Ardanza, will take part in the round table on open innovation to promote the digitalisation and automation of ports.
