Port accessW.E.C. Lines has launched a new direct container service between the Port of Bilbao and the north of Europe and the United Kingdom, thereby increasing the wide range of services already available in the port of Bilbao.
The weekly service, provided in response to market demands for a more reliable logistics solution whereby Bilbao is connected via fast intermodal solutions to the logistic hubs of Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Zaragoza, has fixed departure and arrival days, and covers most combinations within a week.
The home port is Moerdijk, in the Netherlands, from where W.E.C. Lines services connect to further destinations such as Thamesport, Immingham, Teesport and Blyth in the UK, Oslo, Moss and Kristinasand in Norway, Duisburg in Germany and Wroclaw in Poland.
