The Consortium of the Bonded Warehouse of Bilbao is a non-profit making institution that was founded in 1919 to support international trade. It occupies 35,000 square metres and has 11 modern stores equipped with advanced auxiliary machinery.
Regardless of their origin, nature, quantity or destination, goods may remain for unlimited time in the Bilbao Bonded Warehouse. Its facilities, recognised by the London Metal Exchange, allow non-ferrous metals to be stored – aluminium, tin, zinc, copper and nickel. It also operates as a Customs and Excise Depot for storing, handling and sealing alcoholic drinks and tobacco.
Its facilities and main offices can be found at the Reina Victoria Dock in Santurtzi.
