- The different terminals at the Port of Bilbao are managed by four stevedoring companies.

Founded in Bilbao in 1870, Bergé y Cía. extended across all the territory, and from this company was born Bergé Marítima as the parent company of the port-logistics business, offering transport, foreign trade, storage, administration, promotion and consultancy.
The Bergé Marítima Group with more than 30 companies and 1000 people in employment, currently plays a major role in Spain’s port sector. It has offices in Madrid and London where it offers round the clock service, 365 days a year.
Bilbao – 48001 (Bizkaia)
Consignaciones Toro y Betolaza, S.A. was founded in Bilbao on 12 February 1966. Throughout all these years its activities have been developed in the shipping field: ship owners, shipping agents, stevedores, customs agents, freight forwarders and hauliers. Its head office is in Bilbao, operating from Santurtzi and Zierbena, but the company also has branches in the ports of Pasajes, Gijón and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Its facilities at the Port of Bilbao have more than 200,000 m² outdoor area, and a 58,000 m² of covered storage area for the reception, storage and distribution of different goods such as forest products, iron and steel products, project cargo, and sulphates and coal among others. It has a ro-ro ramp, 4 104-tonne capacity Liebherr cranes, and specially prepared carriages for the transport of forest products.
CSP Iberian Bilbao Terminal provides import and export shipping companies an excellent and competitive way of entering and leaving the Basque Country, the Iberian Peninsula and the South of France. Its terminal’s privileged geographical situation without draft or storage space limitations, make it the ideal gateway for goods.
An investment of 74.6 million euros, the strategic solidity it shares with its partners and alliances, the availability of 450,000 m² of land surfaces and the application of the most modern Terminal Operations Systems form a terminal with an annual capacity of 600,000 TEU´s offering services, unheard of until now in the Port of Bilbao and its surrounding areas.
Founded in 1996, SLP are specialists, both technically and in terms of staff expertise, in the handling and storage of general cargo, bulk, wind energy and project cargo, among others. In addition, the company acts as shipping agents for around 400 vessels every year.
SLP has six mobile cranes of more than 100 t for loading and unloading goods, and all kinds of auxiliary machinery such as lifts, shovels, grabs, scoops and hoppers at the service of its customers.
In the port of Bilbao, SLP operates a terminal with a surface area of almost 140,000 m², of which over 40,000 m² are covered. It has a preferential berthing line stretching over 2.3 km and draughts of between 9.5 and 20.5m. In addition to various certifications which demonstrate its good performance in terms of quality, the environment and H&S, SLP has a temporary deposit warehouse, a customs warehouse and non-customs warehousing arrangements to facilitate its customers’ operations.
