As part of the environmental objectives for achieving a cleaner, more sustainable economy, the Port Authority of Bilbao has replaced a total of 1,386 conventional lighting points with efficient LED technology luminaires, and has also implemented web-based software for the operation and maintenance of each of the 1,386 lighting points. In doing so, it is going to save 75% compared to current consumption.
Half of the total €1,559,775 investment, in other words, €779,887, is being funded by the European Union through the “EUROPEAN REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDS (ERDF)” for a low carbon economy.
