The book shows the transformation of the Port through a comparison of 61 black and white photographs chosen from the photographic archives of the Port Authority of Bilbao, that were taken between 1867 and 1970, with the present ones taken by the author between November 2003 and July 2004. The present photographs aim to be a replica of the old ones, and so the photographer has tried to obtain the same viewpoints framing and weather conditions. Some of the past photos are between 75 and 125 years older than the present ones.
The book is divided into four parts:
